I got a new gadget!
It's the Mavic Ultimate bike computer and I must say I'm quite impressed. This is an example of the data it can give me post-ride so that I can review it at my leisure. I haven't set up all the parameters yet but we will get there.
Yes I'm impressed mate. Especially with your average speed. lol. 28kph!!! I know, all those mountains round Portsmouth. The South Downs the English Alps. :-)
It's a poor quality picture - average speed was actually 25.3kmh. Top speed was 67kmh that was fun! We preparing Jonny for IM Nice and that's all we've got down here, you can only work with what you have. There's another hill north west of Old Winchester Hill that I need to work into a ride sometime, although I can't remember what it's called. It was a beast though!
Yeah, I've done that one if we're talking about the same climb. About 25% and 3/4 of a mile long. Famous with the roadies around there. It's great when you meet a car going down on a single track road and then you have to stop and clip back in to start again. Some real comedy starts.
If you were doing 67 going down what does that make your speed going up, to average 25? :-)
So named because I used to enjoy hard session on the turbo trainer; but no more. I still use the turbo for occasional interval sessions but you're more likely to find me at the CrossFit gym nowadays, or actually out and about on the bike.
I'm also a follower of the Primal Blueprint, although have a few too many non-primal treats to consider myself a devotee. Chocolate, cake, ice cream and red wine are all part of a healthy diet, but only in small doses of course!
