Well let's have a look at the facts. A review of my training diary reveals that in Week 1 the only entry is for one 50 minute easy session on the gym bike, with training seriously compromised by my back not being completely better, having to take the kids back to school and heading off to look at a potential new car (we didn't buy it). Oh dear. On the positive side, I did manage between 8 and 9 hours of brisk walking that no doubt helped me lose 2.2 pounds so it's not all bad.
Week 2 has started off better, with 90 minutes of walking and an hour on the gym bike.

Backs are a nightmare when you hurt them. Oh well at least you lost a kilo and kept active. I've done a shed load and not lost a pound - too many bread carbs. Must resist. Must resist.
Go see the osteo!
A nice measured start T Man. Life can be very perplexing when trying to train seriously. Or is it the other way round?! Depends what angle you are looking at!
keep up the weight loss and the training will come and then be easier, i have just done my calf this morning! and badly!
The back is much better today, I would say its 95% there. Not going to risk swimming, weights or core work until its properly better but I ran and biked today without any ill effects. In fact, it actually felt better afterwards. Feeling really positive for the first time this year.
That's good to hear. Now you have numbers too it should help.
If I had to head out to a cold garage I would be finding motivation hard at the mo, fortunately I just turbo in my kitchen!
