In preparation for my forthcoming journalistic masterpiece on the pros and cons of having your bike shoes pre-clipped on your pedals in T1, please complete the poll (to the right --->).
If you feel that I haven't covered all the angles, please let me know.

Of course that way I can't forget them and leave them in the car.
Damn you Tinman, I hadn't thought of that one!
Because I have pansy feet and have to wear socks, yes, even for a sprint!
Yes because it saves trashing your cleats running in transition!
Clipped in is faster when you get it right! And I practise too (not that is showed at Dambuster where I had a phaff)! Socks are just a no no Kelda, especially for a sprint!
Hells teeth, not even I bother with socks in a sprint!
Yes, Sags, I saw you faffing out of T1.
I could send you photos of the state of my feet after even a sprint with no socks! Let's compare transition times ... it takes about 10 secs to don socks and shoes and then I get straight on and pedal passing millions of people wobbling about phaffing trying to get their feet in on the go.
I don't because I don't practise and I only have cycle shoes (not tri a tri specific pair) However, I am getting a new pair of bike tri shoes tomorrow and then I'll start practising the skill. Maybe even on my turbo.
Do you now have a turbo IronGirl? :-)
