Televised Political Debate

Tonight was the first time the main party leaders have taken part in a live TV debate in the lead up to a General Election and I, for one, found it compelling viewing. If I'm honest, I don't think it was particularly conclusive, although I tended to agree with the post event analysis that Nick Clegg gave the best, most polished, performance. Gordon Brown was better than I expected, although I found his constant grinning and smirking when either of the other 2 were speaking somewhat irritating. David Cameron was as expected, although he was found wanting on a couple of issues. I'm looking forward to the next 2 debates because I am still undecided how I will vote.

Interesting, the event had entirely passed me by! The day they called the election I lasted 24 hours before turning off the radio and not hearing another broadcast I've had that much of the whole lot of them for the last 18 months.

Personally I think we have such an undemocratic electoral system that I just despair at anything changing substantively.

So you are a floating voter. I've been a lifelong Liberal (the LibDem) although up here vote SNP! Glad to hear Clegg came over well. I do know I don't want anymore of the unelected Gordon Brown who has sold us down the river without a paddle ... think selling gold reserves ... massive national debt ... he's a nasty bully to boot.

Roll on 7 May when I can have the radio on again!
